Yoga in the Workplace and Katrina are both Spectacular! I could never find the time to work on myself, whether it was exercising regularly or learning to relax and breath. I wasn’t motivated. When I had the chance to sign up for Yoga in the Workplace at Admiral I was really excited. I was able to take an hour in the middle of the day for some ME time and without having to leave my work. Now not only do I physically feel better from months of yoga sessions but I feel motivated to get healthier and I am capable of taking a moment to relax no matter the atmosphere I am in, like in a busy call centre with 500 employees. Katrina is amazing and takes time to help you one on one in class and modify moves to fit your needs. I even have her coming to do a yoga session with my bridal shower the day of my wedding for some much needed relaxation!

It’s great to be able to participate in a yoga class during my lunch hour: it’s a wonderful break in a busy day and it allows me to have a quiet night at home instead of trying to rush home, eat supper and get to a class. At Admiral we are proud to have been offering weekly yoga sessions to our employees for over a year and the program is an integral part of our health and wellness initiatives, not to mention a huge hit with our staff. Yoga in the Workplace provides our employees with a welcoming and convenient space for our staff to unwind and let go of any stress that may have built up during the work week. Participants in our mid-day yoga class say they return to their desks refreshed, report having more energy and focus and the exercise is beneficial in alleviating some of the physical strain from sitting all day. Our instructor is both engaging and respectful of the different fitness levels of the participants and tailors the sessions accordingly. Her calm demeanor invites both relaxation and peace of mind.
